February 2025 proved to be a rather uneventful month for New Jersey, with no major storms making a significant impact. For the most part, the state experienced a series of minor weather events that, while occasionally disruptive, did not leave a lasting mark. According to the latest report from the New Jersey State Climatologist's office, the month saw slightly below-average precipitation and snowfall, and temperatures that hovered just below normal.

The total precipitation across the state was 2.53 inches, which is 0.33 inches below the average for the period. This places February 2025 among the driest on record, though not by a dramatic margin. Snowfall was similarly sparse, averaging 5.4 inches, about 2.8 inches below the typical amount. This lack of major weather events and the mild temperatures contributed to a February that felt somewhat lackluster for many.

Despite this, February did feature several windstorms, occasional freezing rain, and a few plowable snow events, particularly in the higher elevations. However, there were no significant nor’easters, and New Jersey's drought warning remained in effect throughout the month. For those looking for more dramatic winter weather, this was not the month to remember. Instead, February 2025 will likely be remembered as a season of nuisances rather than notable weather extremes.
